Tadcaster Chorale

Tadcaster Chorale was formed when several members of the Operatic Society who were also members of the choir at St. Mary's church in Tadcaster thought that it would be a good idea for the two groups to combine and perform a concert at the Riley-Smith Hall. The concert was such a success that they decided to continue.

Tadcaster Chorale concentrate on performing a show where the emphasis is on singing rather than dancing or acting and perform some fairly intricate numbers.

Chorale were asked to perform at a wedding by someone who saw their first show and the word has spread. Tad Chorale now perform requested numbers at several weddings a year and are available for weddings in the local area. They are regularly requested at weddings at Hazelwood Castle and attend the wedding fayre that is held at the castle every year. A small fee is charged and the numbers that are available for weddings may vary especially if the wedding is planned for during the week as several of the members have full time jobs.

A note from the Chorale producer:

The choir is beginning a new year by learning a varied selection of four part songs. We are aiming to have a concert programme prepared by May / June which will have opportunities for solos and duets as well as the four part songs. We now have a large pool of singers but could probably squeeze some more tenors and basses in. We rehearse on Wednesday evening at the Riley-Smith Hall, Tadcaster, beginning at 7:30pm.

Carole.

If you would like us to perform either at your Wedding or at your Charity Event please call Carole Cox on 0113 281 2957 to discuss things.
